what is roaming in computer or phone context? |
|
Best Answer: On a phone roaming is when your cell phone can only connect to a different companies towers. This can happen in some rural areas and overseas. Although these towers are not your companies your cell phone can connect to them so that you can make a call. For example if you had a t-mobile phone but were in an area with only At&t towers your cell phone could still connect to them and you could make calls but you might be charged extra to do it. How much or if you are charged depends on the customer agreement you have with your carrier. In my example your agreement with t-mobile. View more answers to this question. |
