Sometimes the quality is very bad that can damage your printer and sometimes also ok, no problem, it's cheaper than original since it has no brand. Personally I upgraded to a laser printer, very cheap now. and toner is cheap to buy and last a very long time. mikewan38 So good HP do it themselves. I found that out a few weeks back. The print heads are so robust when you send your empties back to HP they refill them just like the cartridge remanufacturers do. I've bought my cartridges from links2inks.co.uk and they are very reliable and last longer. Never had any probs and it saves you the noes bleed when you reach the counter with the originals and they want £75. I usually pay £15 for a pair so cant be bad. Have had some from a couple of companies that didnt work but like I say the majority are trustworthy. thinpinblue Yes. Don't use anything else now & a fraction of the cost. Its almost as cheap to buy a new printer as it is to buy new cartridges. Ive also filled my own, with reasonable success BillyB8 I tend to use generic cartridges for the black. and buy the proper colour ones. Bogdan Absolutely no. They're just one bad way to save some money at the moment; later you'll have some trouble and will need to spend more money to repair/replace what the cheap cartridges did to your printer. I know this from my own experience with three printers that had to be replaced after using "compatible" cartridges. One of them just stopped printing after a "compatible" cartridge destroyed something in the printing head (the guys at the repair shop advised me to buy a new printer since repairing the one I had was more expensive than a new one). The other two were no longer printing correctly (they made stains and lines on the paper) even after replacing the "compatible" cartridges with original ones. I'm not good at repairing printers, but I was told that the cheap cartridges blown out something thus making the printer unable to control the cartridge right. So, if your printer's new, use only the original cartridges to enjoy a very good printing quality for a long time. RiffRaff I would say no. I used these cartridges and they buggered up my prinyer. You have to be very careful.lol RiffRaff smedrik As long as they are remanufacterd by a good company using proper equipment, testing and a high quality ink. Many companies, such as HP lemark and Dell re-manufacture their own cartridges. In the case of HP, what do you think they do with all those cartridges you send back in mailers. Lexmark call them "prebate cartridges" which are cartridges intended sent back and remanufactured. The biggest purchaser of Dell empties. Is well Dell. They consistently buy back as many of their own empties (and pay top dollar for them as well) this is for the purposed of reconditioning them. They also sell "prebate" cartridges. They also have reman toners listed out their website. (A.a.K) not as good as the orginal ones.
