What causes network security problems (from both inside and outside of a corporation)? |
|
Best Answer: Inside, people are the weakest link in a security plan. No amount of security in the world will help the guy who dressed as the maintenance staff, went through the vents, and into the data center. There's also the problem of disgruntled ex-employees who might break a non-disclosure agreement. Outside, you have your usual array of port scanners, in-the-wild viruses, botnets, spammers, and the vulnerabilities of the OS/hardware that sits between the data center and the Internet.
