u can use system restore,on windows.

right click on your desktop > view > auto arrange
that should sort them all back onto the screen

right cllick o your desktop-arrange icons by - then click auto arrange

you need to access desktop from explorer
go start > run > desktop press enter.
There you go.
And then just rearrenge the icons with right click. You can do this on the desktop or from the explorer.

Locate the program, or file ( either from your program list in your start menu, or in the control panel under programs) -once you have found it, right-click on it and you should see in the menu: "send to" one of those options is "send to desktop" as a short cut
