When I opened my computer this morning, it came up in Safe Mode, why would this happen?
I shut down my computer last night normally the way that I always do. This morning when I went to boot-up, it automatically came up in safe mode. I have not touched anything in my control panel. I tried to find the answer on the web but could not get anywhere. Does anyone know why it would boot up in safe mode? To my knowledge I did not install any new hard/software, could something have been installed without me knowing? I did the run and the msconfig and safemode was not checked.

Best Answer:
Go to you start menu and then click

RUN

Type in

msconfig

Then click on the boot tab at the top > uncheck safe mode.

If that doesnt work uninstall and hardware or software you added before you last shut down

Ok seeing as though that didnt work does the computer do it every time you turn it on or was it just that once? If it was just the once i think maybe its had a problem shutting down and started up in safe mode just as a precaution. Thye do that sometimes even though everything seems normal.

If it still does it then there is something preventing it booting normally. I will have a look into that
