it plays mp4 format only umm i have one with my own videos on it

it only plays mp4 files. But there is a program that you can download to convert any video file into an mp4 file. It's called Video to iPod converter.

Ipod only support mp4 and H2.64, so if the video is not the format, you must use a third part software to convert. I always use Cucusoft DVD to iPod Video Suite to convert DVDs and videos songs to my ipod, It’s really helpful. You can free download and try it.
