I sometimes get ones like Free Smileys and stuff. All I do is close them.

You appear to have malware.
Get adaware, spybot, windows defender. All are free.
Install them.
Run them.
re-boot in safe mode.
run them again, and run ad/remove programs.

You have some type of malware on your computer, get an application such as Ad-Aware, or Spybot both free applications that should fix your problem.

You have a virus. Run a antivirus scan. I like Avast Home.

i have just checked for you and it seems that (lwstats)is definately adware. the other people are right, you should get a couple of antispyware programs..and quickly as some malware can spread without you noticing until one day you will notice !! i know as it happened to me and had to reboot the whole system...not a pleasant task..do it now. good luck.
