Best Answer:
Mac OS X 10.5.xx is an operating system based on FreeBSD. Windows is a brand of operating systems made by Microsoft, such as Win 95, 98, 2000, XP, Vista, etc. I personally think Mac OS is more secure, and maybe more stable, although I would rather use Win 2000. Windows has more viruses, and is less stable. It is really up to the user, as to which they think is better. Vista and Mac OS X 10.5 in my opinion both have a terrible looking GUI.
I prefer Linux, more secure than either Mac or Windows, free, stable.

yes, they are both computers however a MAC has a completely different operating system than Windows, so they look different and have different features. MAC is said to be more reliable than Windows, and i find it much easier to use (however, it took me about a month to get used to it) if you want more information, i would suggest going to www.apple.com
hope i helped =)
