Having dealt with thousands of Dell desktops at my job I can say that for the most part they are pretty good machines. Comparable with any others on the market. Just like any other computer they have their problems but Dell has some of the best technical support on the market also.

Basically, Dells are very good. Keep in mind that you need to determine what you want it to do before you choose the model. Their site is geared towards helping you find the one that's right for your needs.

One IBM clone PC is for the most part as good as any other. They are all manufactured below specifications to make a maximum profit margin, while making it appealing to the consumer, in other words, cheaper or affordable.
I personally would not buy a Dell.

A desk top or a laptop is just like an automobile, it is as good as the manufactures warranty.

They are very overpriced, and they hardly have any room for upgrade.
Unless you are just looking for it for buisness or ofice use i would not recommend buying one.
Why dont you just built it yourself?
You can get alot better parts for the same price.
Or you can buy it from a computer company like
IBUYPOWER &CYBERPOWER
They build custom computers from scratch and they are pretty decently priced

yes. my family has one in the dining room. it's runs very well and doesn't take long to download certain apps or songs. it starts windows under 3 minutes. Make sure you use DSL though, dial-up is a lost cause for any desktop! but yes, make sure you have an efficient network connection. it also depends on the desktop's capacity to retain information (size of storage etc.)
but overall Dell's are fairly priced, yet run efficiently for any user. :-)
Dell use. 1 desktop, 1 laptop |
