Why are Macintosh Computers Difficult to Operate for External Uses?
I have a 2005 Mac Mini with a PowerPC G4 processor (iLife '08 and OS X 4.11 are on the hard drive), and I cannot upload film / pictures onto iMovie & iPhoto with a usb connector. It's mandate to use a memory stick for a digital camera, and a FireWire connector for a camcorder. I'm appreciative that there are no viruses... yet, but why does this system require more tools in order to get something done easily on a PC? And why do they seemingly cost so much more, while you'd have to spend extra dollars on these trivial gadgets? I'm sure that Windows 98 is more accessible than this.... I don't find it user friendly at all, but what do I know? I'm a n00b. Help, anyone?

The Mac mini was designed to be as simple and cheap as possible (by Apple's standards at least) although having said that the Mac mini did come with 1 Firewire 400 port for video and if you want more than one USB device just get a USB hub.

Why - well it leaves the door open for 3rd party hardware developers.

If you want something more than a Mac mini - get the iMac or Mac tower.

Sometimes I think people just want to complain because they can.
