Best Answer:
open up command prompt, type ipconfig and click enter if your ip is 169. then your not truly connected, go to device manager, find your network adapters and uninstall them all, make sure if it asks you if you want to delete the actual back up soft were you don't check those box's. after uninstalling, click action at the top of device manager window, and scan for hardware changes, it'll re install your network adapters, go run ipconfig in cmd again if you don't have a 169. anymore you should be able to connect now.
if you don't have a 169. and maybe like a 192. you could stuck behind a router that's messing up your connection even if your hardwired, by pass the router, do a direct connect to the modem. then try using the internet.
if all else fails unplug the modem/ router and leave unplugged for 1 min, while waiting restart computer and then plug everything back in see if it all sync'ed correctly by testing your internet connection.
Hope this helps.
also forgot to mention, if you have a valid ip, but still no connectivity, try doing a "ipconfig /flushdns" could be a dns error

Sounds like your PC has a good connection to your router, but your router has no connection to your modem / the internet. Power cycle the router and modem and try again. Check the lights on each to make sure they come on correctly. If the lights on your modem are incorrect, call your ISP.
