10x	Tor and privoxy help please? Hey guys I started using the tor bundle with the portable browser. I read some recommendations for using privoxy in conjunction, but I can't seem to get it to work with my tor browser. I changed my http to localhost with port 8118 and socks5 is at localhost with port 9something. What am I doing wrong, or do I even need to use privoxy with the latest version of tor? 1 answer(s)
	Best Answer: If you are using the browser bundle then you normally don't need privoxy as tor now supports Socks4/5. The browser should be pointed to localhost 9050 already. If you have another program that you need to use, also use the proxy at localhost port 9050. the address 127.0.0.1 is the same as localhost. Always know the risks of using Tor, protect yourself.
