I need some help on teaching senior citizens about computers?
I am joining a volunteer program at my senior center they want me to teach a course or a few lessons on youtube and youtube usage and all the nooks and crannies of it but I don't know where to start. Can someone help me create an outline or lesson plan or something so i can get started somewhere ? I have a YouTube account which I am active on but don't post videos. I'm still computer savvy though I just need some topics and ideas if you could help me out . Also if you could do the same thing about maybe uninstalling, installing, and updating software, or even free anti viruses and anti malware/spyware type of stuff because that would help me out.

Best Answer:
I do this at my senior center here in town. I have found it best to give them the basic of looking up the videos they want to see (how to enter it into the search bar) and then let them ask the questions. I find the questions are the same everyone else wants to know.

I'm so sorry but i read this question and laughed my ass of for like 5 mins, there is no way, trust me. if you really wan't them to learn they have to use it DAILY, assign homework of watching like 5 videos a day or something because it is very hard. Use firefox or google chrome as a browser, use avg as an antivirus and just tell them how things are done. if they really want to learn then they will learn, much like highschool
