	What does it matter when you have large Rom? They say an Android phone with 1GB Rom , and another with 8GB Rom Can anyone describe what's the benefits of large Rom size on mobile device? (I know what Ram is used for and Rom is used for) but what happen technically? Thanks! 1 answer(s)
	Best Answer: ROM is memory. It is the programmed space on the phone... ROM = READ ONLY MEMORY The term ROM when it comes to the Android phone refers to something a little different. The ROM is the actual Android program that is running or Operating system. The term Rom, when used with an Android program, is actually not an accurate term. It should be called the OS. I think the reason they adopted it is because the programming is not an accessible program per-se but rather the GUI shell that the other programs run inside of.
