Best Answer:
Upload 'their' Anti Virus?
NEVER 'download' ANY 'stuff' ya didn't ask for, WHY should you?
There are MANY good Anti Virus program FREE.
Get 'em from FileHippo.com or Cnet.com
Your slow PC may be from 'TOO MUCH CRAP' being loaded at boot-up from your 'Startup' tab in:
msconfig (ENTER>
type:
msconfig
in the 'run' line off the Start button.
<ENTER> means 'hit the enter key.
Click the 'Startup' tab
uncheck ALL the entries from 'stuff' you do not absolutely need (that's most of them).
They just take up RAM space and unchecking them has no effect on the programs themselves.
If ya goof, just go back and fix it, it won't kill ya.
Are ya done yet?

First off, I think you mean "download". When a person "uploads" something it means they are sending the file away, not receiving it.
Anyways, it is not bad to refuse Dell's antivirus, and it's not bad to refuse Norton's anti-virus. However you need to have some form of antivirus for any windows computer.
I recommend AVG Free: It is a free antivirus that's very good at its job and does not slow down your computer very much.

First, download and run the Norton Removal Tool: ftp://ftp.symantec.com/public/english_us _canada/removal_tools/Norton_Removal_Too l.exe
If you think you may have a serious problem involving malware, try running Combofix. Download it here: http://www.forospyware.com/sUBs/ComboFix .exe
After Combofix has completed it's scan and/or restarted the computer, download and install the Microsoft Security Essentials Antivirus Software, it's completely free: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windo ws/products/security-essentials
If you are still having problems e-mail any error messages or details you have to me and I will help you fix them. It is also possible that you have faulty memory or a failing harddrive, both of which cause error messages and/or blue screens and restarts.
