Where is the BIOS found in the computer.? |
|
Best Answer: When you first turn on your computer somewhere on the screen it will say "press [key] for system setup" or something very similar. Press whatever key it says and that will get you into the BIOS screen. If you meant physically where is the BIOS inside the machine, it's a chip soldered onto the motherboard. Each motherboard model puts it in a different place but as a general rule it's usually soldered somewhere near the CPU. A few select motherboards still mount the BIOS in a socket so you can take it out and replace it with a new one, although this is falling out of fashion ever since EEEPROM was introduced.
