where is the power supply unit located? |
|
Best Answer: On most desktops it is usually located in the back of the tower, bolted either at the very top or at the very bottom. You'll recognize it as a large metal box with lots of colorful wires coming out of one of the sides. Another way to identify it is to look at the back of your machine and see where the power plug is. Then look inside the machine and find the metal box that the power plug is built into. On a laptop it's more complicated: part of the power supply is that plastic brick that you plug into the wall to charge your battery. The other half is actually usually built right into the motherboard and is not a dedicated component. View more answers to this question. |
