2008 Server and Vista SP2

Friday, June 5th, 2009
vista-sp2Microsoft has released a major update this last week.

Service Pack 2 has been released for Vista. A service pack is a bunch of updates, security stability, and functionality related, all rolled up into one update.

We strongly recommend loading Service Pack 2 on all computers running Vista. If you have dialup internet, downloading it will take forever (a very long time), so you may want to take your computer to a location that has broadband internet to load it, or have it installed by a professional.

* You should make sure that your computer is free of viruses and other malware before loading any service pack. Failure to do so could make the service pack fail to load, and render your computer inoperable.

Here is the Microsoft Frequently Asked Questions Page for Vista SP2:

Feel free to call if you have any questions. As always, have a great day!
