CNN Trojan Variant – My Custom Alert

A New variant of the CNN Trojan has been going around lately with the subject line:

CNN Alerts: My Custom Alert

These emails link to a malicious site that gives you an “opportunity” to install a software update that is actually a trojan (like a virus) that compromises your computer.

The best thing to do with these emails is to delete them. As always, it is better to be safe than sorry.

Don’t EVER click on links in emails that are unexpected or from an email address that you don’t recognize, and be cautious when clicking any link in an email.
